Open house at Mid Sweden University attracted curious high school students

Approximately 2,000 high school students were drawn to the Open House events in Sundsvall and Östersund at the end of February. There, they gained insight into the exciting educational opportunities available at Mid Sweden University.
The Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering participated in the fair, offering various activities for students. Among other things, they had the chance to create their own wind to set a mini wind turbine spinning. In the automation lab, they competed against a robot arm to test their steadiness, and they even got to control a toy car using their head through sensors attached to a bicycle helmet. In the computer science and IT programs, students had the opportunity to create AI-generated images and correctly connect components in a network rack.
Through Open House, students get the chance to explore subjects and technologies they can study at Mid Sweden University, and which they may work with or research in the future.
